Waves IDX Intelligent Dynamics - Perpetual License

IDX Intelligent Dynamics is an audio plug-in by Waves Audio: a frequency-aware compressor that controls the energy of a track and gives it more punch and focus. It is meant for producers, mixing engineers and live sound engineers who want tighter drums, vocals or instruments without spending a long time on attack, release and band settings. This listing is an activation code for the plug-in, registered on your own Waves account and activated through the Waves Central application.

This product is a perpetual license key for Waves IDX Intelligent Dynamics: it does not expire and can be used on 1 device running macOS and Windows. The key is delivered by email together with the activation instructions.

A typical use is to load IDX on a drum bus, a vocal or a busy instrument track and let it find the crowded part of the spectrum on its own. You then choose the response mode, tilt the compression towards the low or the high end and blend the result by ear. The zero-latency version makes the same processing usable on stage and in live monitoring.

Key Features:

• Automatic frequency analysis: The algorithm detects the regions of the spectrum that use up energy without adding to the tone and compresses them progressively, while the rest of the sound stays untouched.
• Hard and Soft modes: Hard reacts quickly and suits transient material such as drums and percussion, while Soft responds more slowly for sustained sounds like pads, bass or vocals.
• Tilt control: One knob shifts the compression towards the high or the low frequencies, so you can make a track brighter or warmer while it is being controlled.
• Zero-latency version: A variant of the plug-in without added latency is included for live sound, tracking and monitoring where delay is not acceptable.
• Common plug-in formats: Available as AAX, VST, VST3 and AU for macOS and Windows, so it loads in the main digital audio workstations.
