Soundtoys Little Plate - Perpetual License

Little Plate is a reverb plugin by Soundtoys inspired by the EMT 140, the electromechanical plate reverb introduced in 1957 whose dense, smooth and slightly dark tail can be heard on countless studio records. It is aimed at producers and mixing engineers who want a classic plate sound on vocals, drums, guitars or keys without a menu of parameters: a large Decay knob and three small controls cover the job. This listing is a licence for the plugin: the installer is downloaded from the developer and the licence is activated in your iLok account, which unlocks Little Plate inside your audio workstation.

This product is a perpetual license key for Soundtoys Little Plate: it does not expire and can be used on 2 devices running macOS and Windows. The key is delivered by email together with the activation instructions.

A typical setup is to put Little Plate on a send, set Decay to one or two seconds for a vocal or snare and use Low Cut to keep the low end of the mix clean. For ambient pads or sound design the Decay knob can be turned to infinity, so the tail keeps sustaining while new notes are layered on top.

Key Features:

• Extended decay time: The Decay knob goes well beyond the roughly five seconds of the 1950s hardware and up to an infinite setting, where the reverb tail never fades.
• Low Cut filter: Removes the low-frequency build-up that plate reverbs tend to add, so the reverb stays clear and does not muddy the bass of the mix.
• Mod switch: Adds a slight, irregular modulation to the reverb tail, which gives a thicker and smoother result on sustained keys, guitars and voices.
• Dry and wet Mix control: Sets the balance between the unprocessed signal and the reverb, so the plugin works both as an insert on a track and on an effects send.
• Standard plugin formats: Available as AAX, VST, VST3 and AU for Windows and macOS, so it loads in Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, Studio One, FL Studio, Reaper and Bitwig.
