Softube Dirty Tape - Perpetual License

Dirty Tape is an audio effect plugin by the Swedish developer Softube that gives samples, instruments and beats the worn sound of a cassette recording. It is aimed at producers and beatmakers who want lo-fi colour, gentle saturation or obvious tape wear without setting up a chain of separate effects. This listing is a license for the plugin: it is registered to your Softube account and unlocks the full effect inside your audio software.

This product is a perpetual license key for Softube Dirty Tape: it does not expire and can be used on 3 devices running macOS and Windows. The key is delivered by email together with the activation instructions.

Place Dirty Tape on a drum loop, a keys part or a whole bus to push the sound back in time. With low settings it adds a light analogue glue, with higher settings it becomes a clearly audible lo-fi effect, so the same plugin works both for subtle mixing and for sound design.

Key Features:

• Dirt and Drive controls: Two main knobs set the amount of tape wear and the level of saturation, so a usable sound is reached in a few seconds.
• Cassette character: The effect ranges from soft saturation and distortion to speed and pitch wobble, crosstalk and stereo imbalance typical of old tape machines.
• Stereo and dual mono modes: You can process the signal as a normal stereo pair or split it into two mono channels for more control over the stereo image.
• Wide host compatibility: It runs in the common audio workstations, including Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper and Bitwig Studio.
• Standard plugin formats: VST, VST3, AU and AAX versions are available for Windows and macOS, installed through the developer's download tools.
