Soundtoys Decapitator - Perpetual License

Decapitator is an analog saturation plugin by Soundtoys, the American developer of EchoBoy, Little AlterBoy and Devil-Loc, and it models the way classic studio gear adds warmth and harmonic distortion when it is driven hard. It is used by producers and mixing engineers on vocals, drums, bass, guitars and whole mix buses, from a touch of colour that makes a track sit forward to heavy, gritty distortion. This listing is a licence for the plugin: it is redeemed into your iLok account, and the installer is downloaded from the developer to unlock Decapitator inside your audio workstation.

This product is a perpetual license key for Soundtoys Decapitator: it does not expire and can be used on 2 devices running macOS and Windows. The key is delivered by email together with the activation instructions.

A common approach is to insert Decapitator on a vocal or drum bus with a low Drive setting, then use the Mix control to blend the saturated signal with the dry one. Switching between the five styles changes the character quickly, so it is easy to compare a smooth, tape-like colour with a brighter or more aggressive tone.

Key Features:

• Five saturation styles: The A, E, N, T and P styles are each modelled on a different piece of analog hardware, from smooth and warm to bright and aggressive.
• Drive and Punish: Drive sets how hard the signal hits the circuit, while the Punish switch adds a large extra boost for heavy, crushed distortion.
• Tone and filters: Low Cut, High Cut and Tone shape the saturated sound, with the Thump and Steep options for a low-end bump or a sharper high-frequency roll-off.
• Mix and Auto output: The Mix knob allows parallel saturation inside the plugin, and the Auto option keeps the output level steady while you change the Drive.
• Standard plugin formats: Available as AAX, VST, VST3 and AU for Windows and macOS, including Apple Silicon Macs, so it loads in the most common audio workstations.
