Soundtoys Little AlterBoy - Perpetual License

Little AlterBoy is a vocal effect plugin by Soundtoys that shifts the pitch and the formants of a monophonic voice in real time, so a singer can sound higher, lower, deeper or completely different. It is aimed at producers, mixing engineers and sound designers who need quick vocal transformations: harmonies, hard-tune effects, robotic voices or a change of vocal character, all from a single compact window. This listing is a licence for the plugin: the installer is downloaded from the developer and the licence is activated in your iLok account, which unlocks Little AlterBoy inside your audio workstation.

This product is a perpetual license key for Soundtoys Little AlterBoy: it does not expire and can be used on 2 devices running macOS and Windows. The key is delivered by email together with the activation instructions.

A typical use is to duplicate a lead vocal, insert Little AlterBoy on the copy, move Pitch or Formant slightly and blend it with Mix for a thicker double. For modern pop and hip hop, Quantize mode gives the stepped hard-tune sound, while Robot mode driven by MIDI notes from the DAW turns a spoken line into a melodic, vocoder-like part.

Key Features:

• Pitch and Formant controls: Pitch and formant can be moved together with Link or separately, so you can transpose a voice while keeping its natural tone or change its character without changing the note.
• Transpose mode: Shifts the vocal by a set number of semitones, useful for harmonies, octave doubles or radically different voices.
• Quantize mode: Snaps the pitch of the performance to exact notes, from light tightening to the obvious stepped hard-tune effect.
• Robot mode and MIDI control: Holds the voice on a single fixed pitch for robotic sounds, and the pitch can be played through MIDI from your DAW for vocoder-like lines.
• Drive and Mix: Drive adds tube saturation taken from Decapitator, and Mix blends the processed voice with the dry signal for instant harmonies.
• Standard plugin formats: Available as AAX, VST, VST3 and AU, so it loads in Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper and Bitwig.
