SSL Native Vocalstrip 2 + Drumstrip - Perpetual Account License

SSL Native Vocalstrip 2 and Drumstrip are two channel-strip plug-ins developed by Solid State Logic, the British maker of mixing consoles used in professional studios. They are aimed at producers, mixing engineers and home-studio musicians who want a complete processing chain for vocals and for drums inside their audio workstation, with the sound of the SSL desks. The purchase is a pair of software licences for the two plug-ins: they are deposited on the iLok account of the customer and the installers are downloaded from the Solid State Logic website.

This product is a perpetual SSL Native Vocalstrip 2 + Drumstrip license registered to your own account with the vendor or its licensing service: after payment it is added to the account you indicate and can be used on 1 device (macOS and Windows). It is not a subscription and it does not expire.

Vocalstrip 2 is loaded on a lead or backing vocal track and handles, in one window, the corrections that would otherwise need several plug-ins: sibilance, plosives, tonal balance and level. Drumstrip is placed on single drum tracks or on the drum bus to tighten the attack, clean up bleed and give the kit weight and air. Both run inside any host that loads plug-ins, so they fit into an existing session next to the effects already in use.

Key Features:

• De-esser and de-ploser: The first two modules of Vocalstrip 2 reduce harsh sibilance and the low thumps of plosive consonants before the rest of the chain, without dulling the voice.
• Three-band EQ with Air band: A high-pass filter, a notch band and a dedicated Air band shape the tone of the vocal and add openness in the top end.
• Compander: Compression and downward expansion in one stage keep the vocal level even and push it to the front of the mix while quiet passages stay clean.
• Transient Shaper and Drum Gate: Drumstrip controls the attack and sustain of each hit and gates bleed and background noise with independent thresholds and an adjustable range.
• Enhancers and Listen Mic Compressor: High and low frequency enhancers add air to the cymbals and weight to the kick, and the Listen Mic Compressor delivers the aggressive drum sound associated with SSL consoles.
• Reorderable signal chain: The processing modules can be dragged into a different order, so the chain follows the material instead of a fixed layout.

How to Activate:

1. Create a free account on ilok.com if you do not have one and send us your iLok User ID after the order.
2. Once the licences are deposited, open iLok License Manager on your computer and sign in with your account.
3. Activate the two licences to your computer, to iLok Cloud or to an iLok USB key.
4. Download the Vocalstrip 2 and Drumstrip installers from the Solid State Logic website, install them and load the plug-ins in your host.
