TechSmith Camtasia Studio 8 - Perpetual License

Camtasia Studio is the screen recording and video editing program made by TechSmith, the company also known for Snagit; version 8 (2012, last update 8.6 in 2015) is a legacy Windows release that TechSmith no longer updates or supports. It is built for people who make tutorials, software demonstrations, lessons and recorded presentations: trainers, teachers, support teams and anyone who explains a procedure better on screen than in writing. This listing is a license key for the desktop application; the key is entered together with a user name at the first start of the program and unlocks the full set of features.

This product is a perpetual license key for TechSmith Camtasia Studio 8: it does not expire and can be used on 1 PC running Windows. The key is delivered by email together with the activation instructions.

A typical project starts in the recorder: you capture the whole screen or a chosen area, with narration from the microphone, the system sound and, if you like, the webcam. The recording then opens in the editor, where you cut mistakes, add callouts and zoom effects on the parts that matter and export the finished video as a file or send it straight to YouTube or Screencast.com. The PowerPoint add-in records a slide presentation with narration in the same way.

Key Features:

• Screen recorder: Camtasia Recorder captures the full screen, a window or a custom region together with microphone narration, system audio and, on request, the webcam picture.
• Timeline editor with multiple tracks: Video, audio, images and annotations sit on separate tracks; clips can be trimmed, split, moved and joined with transitions without touching the source recording.
• Callouts, cursor effects and Zoom-n-Pan: Arrows, text boxes, highlights and cursor effects draw attention to the right spot, while Zoom-n-Pan guides the viewer's eye across a large screen.
• Quizzes and interactive hotspots: Questions and clickable areas can be placed on the timeline; when the video is produced with the TechSmith Smart Player, viewers answer them from within the video.
• Production and sharing: The finished project is exported as MP4 or other common formats in the resolution you choose, or uploaded directly to YouTube and Screencast.com.
