EtacsDecoder (ED) is a Windows diagnostic and coding program for Mitsubishi vehicles that works with the ETACS body control unit and other electronic control units through an OBD adapter. It is used by owners, enthusiasts and small workshops to enable or disable hidden functions, read and clear fault codes and adapt replaced control units without the dealer tool. This listing is a usage package for the program: write operations are credited to the program user identified by the USER_ID you give with the order, while the program itself is downloaded from the developer.

Reading the coding and the fault codes is the everyday part of the work; writing a new configuration to a control unit is what consumes the package. A typical session is: connect the adapter, read the current coding, change the options you need, write it back and check the result in the car.

Key Features:

• Hidden function coding: Variant and option coding of the ETACS unit lets you switch comfort and lighting functions that the car supports but that were not enabled at the factory.
• Fault codes (DTC): Reads and clears stored diagnostic trouble codes from the control units the program can reach on the supported models.
• Immobilizer PIN and VIN: Changes the immobilizer PIN code and writes the VIN into replaced ETACS, engine or SRS units, as needed after a unit swap.
• Factory reset of ETACS: Returns the ETACS unit to its factory state, clearing VIN, variant, option and custom coding, so it can be set up again from scratch.
• Choice of adapters: Works with J2534 pass-thru adapters such as VCX-Nano or Scanmatik 2 and with the Toyota Mini-VCI; simple ELM327 adapters are supported only on older models.

How to Activate:

1. Download EtacsDecoder from the developer website, install it on a Windows PC and start it.
2. Copy the USER_ID shown in the program: after the order we ask you for it by e-mail, and the package is credited to that USER_ID.
3. Once the package has been credited to that USER_ID, check the balance shown in the program before writing to the car.
