Windows 11 Pro for Workstations - Perpetual License

Windows 11 Pro for Workstations is the edition of Microsoft's operating system built for high-end PCs: it includes everything in Windows 11 Pro and adds support for server-grade hardware together with the file system and networking features that go with it. It is aimed at engineers, designers, data analysts and video professionals whose workstation has several processors, large amounts of memory or fast storage, and who need the system to keep up with demanding workloads. What you buy is a product key for this edition: Windows is downloaded from Microsoft, installed on the PC and unlocked with the key; the same key can also move an existing Windows 11 Pro installation up to this edition.

This product is a perpetual license key for Windows 11 Pro for Workstations: it does not expire and can be used on 1 PC running Windows. The key is delivered by email together with the activation instructions.

Typical uses are CAD and 3D modelling, rendering and video editing, scientific computing, large local databases and virtualization labs, where a multi-socket board, error-correcting memory and NVMe or RAID storage are already installed and the standard Pro edition would leave part of them unused.

Key Features:

• High-end hardware support: Up to four physical processors and 6 TB of RAM, compared with two processors and 2 TB in Windows 11 Pro, so multi-socket workstations can use all the hardware installed.
• Resilient File System (ReFS): Volumes formatted with ReFS detect and repair data corruption automatically and handle very large files and disks, which suits storage arrays and heavy data work.
• Persistent memory (NVDIMM-N): Non-volatile memory modules are supported natively, so data kept in memory survives a shutdown and read and write operations run at memory speed.
• SMB Direct: File transfers over network adapters with RDMA support use less CPU and reach higher throughput with lower latency, useful when moving large project files between machines.
• Ultimate Performance power plan: A dedicated power mode removes the small delays introduced by power management, for the fastest response on machines that are not running on battery.
• All Windows 11 Pro features: BitLocker drive encryption, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop, Windows Sandbox, domain join and group policy are included as in the Pro edition.
