Windows Server 2022 Remote Desktop Services - 50 User CAL

Remote Desktop Services (RDS) is the Windows Server role that lets users work on a server from any device through the Remote Desktop Protocol: a full session-based desktop or single RemoteApp programs, delivered from your server to thin clients, laptops, tablets and phones. Every user or device that connects to a Remote Desktop Session Host needs a Remote Desktop Services Client Access License (RDS CAL) in addition to the Windows Server CAL; when no RDS CALs are installed, the session host stops accepting connections at the end of the 120-day grace period.

This product is a license key for 50 Windows Server 2022 RDS Per User CALs. A Per User CAL is assigned to a named user, who can then open Remote Desktop sessions from any number of devices: the right choice for staff who switch between office PCs, home computers and mobile devices. The key is installed on your Remote Desktop license server through Remote Desktop Licensing Manager; the licenses are perpetual and do not expire.

How to Activate:

1. Install the Remote Desktop Licensing role service on your Windows Server 2022 and open Remote Desktop Licensing Manager.
2. Right-click the server, choose Activate Server and complete the wizard with the automatic connection method.
3. Right-click the server again, choose Install Licenses, select the license program indicated in your delivery email and enter the key.
4. Confirm the product version Windows Server 2022, the license type RDS Per User CAL and the quantity 50, then finish the wizard.
5. On each session host set the licensing mode to Per User and specify the license server (Group Policy or Server Manager).
