Windows Server 2025 is the current long-term servicing release of Microsoft's server operating system, built on the same platform as Windows 11 24H2. The Datacenter edition is designed for highly virtualised environments, private clouds and hyper-converged infrastructure: it allows an unlimited number of Windows Server virtual machines and Hyper-V containers on the licensed host and unlocks Storage Spaces Direct, Storage Replica without volume limits, Software-Defined Networking and shielded virtual machines.

This product is a license key for Windows Server 2025 Datacenter. You download the installation media from the Microsoft website, install the Datacenter edition (Desktop Experience or Server Core), enter the key and activate online. The license is perpetual and does not expire; no subscription is required.

How to Activate:

1. Download the Windows Server 2025 installation media from the Microsoft website and install the Datacenter edition on your server.
2. Open Settings, System, Activation and enter the product key (on Server Core use the slmgr tool from the command prompt).
3. If you installed the evaluation edition, convert it to Datacenter with the DISM Set-Edition command and your key.
4. Activation completes online within a few minutes.
